'Ajatshatru' "Bhishm Pitamaah" of Indian politics Atal Bihari Vajpayee, died at age of 93.
Former Prime Minister of Nation, A man with Mesmerising personality and talent, Bharat Ratna, Atal Bihari Vajpayee died today. He took his last breath in Delhi's All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). Born on 25th December, 1924 at Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh, Atal Bihari Vajpayee was ill for many years. Prior to his death, the leaders of BJP and other party including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, LK Advani, had come to AIIMS to know his well being.
Atalji's departure has left the whole country abandoned and each countrymen is drowned in mourning. The news of Atalji's death has given a huge blow to the country's politics. Vajpayee was admitted to AIIMS on 11th June after the health problem,( infection in the kidney tubes, chest tightness, uterine infection.)
Vajpayee Ji was the prime minister of the country for three times. he became the prime minister for the first time in 1996 but his government could remain in power only for 13 days. In 1998, he became the Prime Minister for the second time, then his government lasted for 13 months. In 1999, Vajpayee became the prime minister for the third time and completed a five-year term.
Atal Bihari Vajpayee was born on December 25, 1924 in Gwalior, completed his Schooling from Saraswati Shishu Mandir and his graduation from Laxmibai college of Gwalior He was a postgraduate from DAV College of Kanpur

In 1942: Participated in the Quit India Movement, and was 24 days in prison due to association activity
In 1951 he joined the Jana Sangh, and established in 1957 as leader of the party
In 1957, First time elected to Lok Sabha from Balrampur in Uttar Pradesh
In 1962, First time elected to the Rajya Sabha
In 1968 he became the national president of the Jan Sangh
In 1975, Atal ji was Arrested during Emergency
In 1977-79 Moraji becomes External Affairs Minister in Desai Government
In 1980 he established BJP and became first party president
In 1996 Atal ji became Prime Minister on winning Lok Sabha elections, but only for a 13-day Government
In March 19, 1998, BJP-led coalition gets victory in mid-term elections, and for second time he was elected as Prime Minister.
In April 17, 1999, After losing a trust vote with a vote, Atal ji resigned as prime minister with a propounding speech which will be remembered for centuries.
On October 13, 1999, After winning the election, once again took oath as Prime Minister for the third Time.
On May 13, 2004, In the aftermath of the Lok Sabha elections, resigned as Prime Minister after the defeat of BJP lead NDA.
On February 2009, Atal Ji was admitted to hospital due to lung infection, kept on ventilator.
On December 25, 2014: The government announces hisbirthday as a Good Governance Day.
On March 27, 2015 Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji was awared with highest civilian honor of the country Bharat Ratna .
